The lookout tower atop Mađerka Hill is the most impressive tourist attraction in Međimurje. As if it were the region’s very own Eiffel Tower, this elegant wooden-and-steel architectural sculpture rises to a height of 27 meters. Climb the 104 steps past four resting spots to reach the rooftop platform, the highest point in Međimurje, standing at 361 meters of altitude. On clear days, the view stretches beyond borders featuring landscapes in Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, further on in Croatia, and even as far as Slovakia. At the heart of the tower, wind-powered organs are built into the structure. Their pipes create unique melodies of the wind, along with special renditions of the region’s most cherished traditional songs— međimurska popevka. There’s also a bike rest point where cyclists can service their bikes. For an airy and scenic setting, head westward just a hundred meters to the Štampar Winery. Štampar and the lookout are reason enough to go uphill, but there are also special events all year round you'll want to see including St Vincent's Day, St Vincent's hiking tour, the Summer Solstice celebration on Mađerka hill, Jazz in the Vineyard, and the Art Colony.
